REAL: Conflict and Peace

Armed conflict is destroying the education opportunities of millions of children around the world with students and teachers caught in the cross- re or even direct targets of attack. Education that reinforces inequality and does not respect human rights diverse cultures languages and identities can further fuel armed conflict and violence.

Research will explore how inappropriate education can lead to conflict and the potential for education to promote peace social cohesion and social justice. It will further seek to identify innovative models of provision.
