For the past five years CamTalk has explored dialogic practices in the secondary school (age 11-18). This project has produced of an online PPD programme and later conducted an evaluation of the impact of that course on secondary dialogic practices in various subjects.
The five-year project funded by Esmée Fairbairn aims at:
- Exploring the role of dialogic teaching and learning in successful secondary classrooms to implement policy recommendations
- Focusing on practitioner research to explore dialogic approaches to assessment and to specific subject areas
- Developing a nationally available CPD course by 2012: a blended learning programme delivered through online course materials and discussion e-portfolio development and occasional conferences
- Developing a network of international partners for cooperation and research comparison
