The AVS Service facilitates loans of portable video photography and audio recording equipment. We can also provide a one to one or group training and demonstration service if required.
Welcome to the Faculty of Education AV equipment loan service. Please read the guidance below to make your booking.
Who can we loan equipment to?
- Faculty Staff
- PhD and Masters students
- PGCE and undergraduate students with special permission*
* With prior permission from course leaders we are able to loan equipment for undergraduate group projects.
What can we loan equipment for?
- Activities linked to the Faculty of Education only
How much notice do you need to give?
- 5 working days notice is normally required*
*We cannot guarantee that booking requests submitted within a shorter notice period will be met. At certain times of the year (e.g. Michaelmas Term) loan periods may be shorter to deal with demand.
What do you need to do?
- Masters PGCE and Undergraduate students should obtain permission via their supervisor
- Fill in the online booking form

- You must bring your blue University card as identification

User Training/Equipment Demonstration Service
The AVS Service offer user training by arrangement. This can be done informally on a one to one basis if assistance is required on equipment operation of installed or portable equipment.
